Tradition in a Modernizing world

Pokemon of the day

i've decided to start a Pokemon of the day thingy.....
So check everyday to see the pokemon of the day....oh, and if you don't like pokemon then you obviously hate your childhood

Todays pick is:

Entei !

R.I.P

Sun & Jin

- they didn't deserve it, i'm sure Cuse & Lindelof could have came up with another way to show "fake" Locke was really evil...

Sayid

- Although you died, then came back to life, then went crazy....you still proved to be a hero

Choose 5

question, if you were stranded on a deserted island and had only five records with you....and for some odd reason a record player too

which would you choose
here are my Picks:

1.) De-loused In the Comatorium by: The Mars Volta

- an hour-long tale of Cerpin Taxt, a man who tries to kill himself by overdosing on a mixture of morphine and rat poison. The attempt lands him in a week-long coma during which he experiences visions of humanity and his own psyche. Upon waking, he is dissatisfied with the real world and jumps to his death. The story of Cerpin Taxt is based on the death of El Paso, Texas artist - and Bixler-Zavala's friend - Julio Venegas.

2.) For Emma, Forever Ago by: Bon Iver

- Following the break-up of his previous band DeYarmond Edison, Justin Vernon secluded himself in a cabin in northwestern Wisconsin for three months planning to "hibernate." Three months of solitude resulted in the creation of For Emma, Forever Ago. "All of his personal trouble, lack of perspective, heartache, longing, love, loss and guilt that had been stockpiled over the course of the past six years, was suddenly purged into the form of song.

3.) The Satanic Satanist By: Portugal. The Man

- The Satanic Satanist is the fourth full length album from Alaskan experimental rock band Portugal. The Man. The album's artwork is a combination of photographs and watercolor illustrations by lead singer John Gourley.

4.) The Mysterious Production of Eggs By: Andrew Bird

- Andrew Bird & the Mysterious Production of Eggs is the second album of Andrew Bird's career post-Bowl of Fire, released in 2005, following his Weather Systems in 2003. The album art, along with track illustrations in the accompanying booklet were drawn by Jay Ryan.

5.) The Low end Theory By: A Tribe Called Quest

- The Low End Theory is stylistically reminiscent of mid-1980s hip hop. Ali Shaheed Muhammad and rappers Q-Tip (who also produced the entire album) and Phife Dawg showcase how rap was done before commercial success influenced many rappers' creativity. The album's minimalist sound is "stripped to the essentials: vocals, drums, and bass." The bass drum and vocals emphasize the downbeat on every track.

there you have it folk's....those are my picks, leave your's in the comment box
i'll be interested in what you guys have picked

B Movie's !

although B movies can be known for low budgets and cheap acting, and i'll be the first to admit it..........
but we still love to watch these movies that aren't intended to be funny, but still are....so here's two that i think are worthy of the title

1.) Thunder Ninja Kids: in the Golden Adventure

This group of ninja kids and their martial arts skills are too much for the Mafia bosses as they battle two gangs of thugs for possession of the mystical golden statue.

2.) Night of the Lepus

Cole Hillman's Arizona ranch is plagued with 'mongrel' rabbits, and he wants to employ an ecologically sound control method. As a favor to college benefactor Hillman, college president Elgin Clark calls in zoologist Roy Bennett to help. Bennett immediately begins injecting rabbits with hormones and genetically mutated blood in an effort to develop a method of disrupting rabbit reproduction. One of the test subjects escapes, resulting in a race of bloodthirsty, wolf-sized, man-, horse-, and cow-eating bunnies. Eventually the National Guard is called in for a final showdown with the terrorizing rabbits.
